Myron Golden?

Golden was born in 1961 in Tampa, Florida, the second of six brothers, in what his own biography describes as a segregated hospital. He contracted polio as an infant, a detail he has confirmed himself: "I had polio as an infant, and I walk with a brace on my leg." Multiple sources describe corrective surgery around age 13 that still left him needing the brace. None of this comes from a third party who examined the records; it comes from Golden describing his own childhood, consistently, across his own accounts.

The better-documented part of the story starts in adulthood. As a young married man with a baby, Golden worked a municipal trash route: waking at 2:30am to check the oil, hydraulics and tire pressure on four or five trucks before driving them to the dump, for $6.25 an hour and $9.50 overtime. In 1985 he was also recruited to sell insurance and investments on the side. He did not close a single sale for roughly 18 months. His first sale came in April 1987; the commission check was $125.66.

That gap, real trash-truck wages against a specific, small first commission, is the origin of the title From the Trash Man to the Cash Man, published two decades later in 2007. It is also the most independently corroborated part of his biography: the wage figures and the sales timeline appear consistently across interviews recorded years apart, rather than only on his own marketing pages.

The "Ph.D." Golden goes by "Myron Golden, Ph.D." on LinkedIn and on his X account, @MyronGoldenPhD. We looked for the institution, the field and the year on his own official bio page, and it is not there; his self-published biography, which lists his companies, his books and even his childhood in detail, never once names the degree. We could not find that information anywhere else either. That is not proof the credential is false. It is an absence worth naming, because a page built to be a reliable source should not silently copy a title it cannot trace.

Is he a pastor? Searching "Myron Golden pastor" surfaces several different pastors who share his name, at churches in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and elsewhere. We found nothing connecting any of them to this Myron Golden, the Tampa-based author and speaker. His own materials describe him as a faith-based business teacher who launched Bible Success Academy, not as the pastor of a specific congregation. Those are different things, and search engines regularly conflate them.

Net worth. No audited financial statement exists. The estimates we found run from roughly $20 million to over $50 million, with a few outlier claims above $100 million. A range that wide is not a range; it is several people guessing independently. We are not picking a number from inside it and calling it a fact.

Family. Golden's own bio describes him only as "a husband of 40 years, father, and grandfather," with no names given. Several "net worth" websites publish specific names and marriage dates for a wife and daughters; one of those dates would place his first marriage when he was eight or nine years old, which is not possible. We treat that entire category of claim as unreliable, and we are not republishing it.
